The State AIDS Control Society, UT, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the District Rotaract Club organized a Mini Marathon under the project Dose of Hope, an international AIDS awareness campaign on 3rd November, 2008. The Mini Marathon was held at Sukhna Lake and about 1000 children participated. They carried banners and slogans made by the State AIDS Control Society, UT, Chandigarh, carrying messages on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support. The winners of the Marathon in the girls and boys section were awarded prizes. There was also a section for senior citizen category. Marathon was an awareness campaign with a special focus on teenagers and youth.
